We really enjoyed our stay at Fiona’s house and wish we could have stayed a little longer. Even better than the photos, the house is beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfy. The backyard was spacious, with gorgeous gardens and we enjoyed the firepit. Unplanned, we checked in late at night, and Fiona was so thoughtful by turning the lights on for our arrival, and left us some Easter eggs and wine. Walking distance into the town, but on a quiet street. We enjoyed exploring Mudgee, and Fiona had some great recommendations.
Fantastic place to stay, looks even better than the photos, just really well done and walkable to town. Perfect.
The Gables was perfect for our needs in every way.Fiona was friendly a helpful. The house was lovely and cosy. We particularly enjoyed the garden and used the fire pit. We'll be back next year.
The Gables perfectly suited our group of 6 (3 couples) with plenty of space for everyone. Beautifully decorated and also a gorgeously appointed kitchen, which satisfied the foodies amongst us! Highly recommend!

Fiona’s place is magic. Perfect for 1 or 2 families. Very spacious, elegantly designed and with an incredible garden. We loved our stay.
The house, garden and accommodation offerings are beautifully presented as well as being functional. There has clearly been great thought and attention to detail in the restoration of this beautiful place . Each room is lovely to be in - light, comfortable and designed for use. We loved the communal spaces, and the kitchen - appliances, utensils and crockery etc were all a pleasure to use. Not a thing missing - and the knives were even sharp - a rare and precious thing! Loved the personal touch of the blackboard message and the amazing brownies - thanks so much!
The Gables Mudgee was where old-world charm meets modern elegance with functionality. Beautifully renovated with so much character & attention given to the smallest detail. Gorgeous finishing touches. Large light open living space & wonderful outdoor verandahs that wrap around the house. Lovely sitting areas for every part of the day. French doors opening out onto the verandah from most of the bedrooms & living areas. It was so inviting with the personalised welcoming message & treats of brownies & wine. The home was fresh & clean. Beautiful bedding & bedrooms with gas & open fireplaces. The yard is for all seasons with a great veggie/herb garden & citrus trees & not to forget the firepit. Such a charming, beautiful, tranquil garden area. The home was exquisite, peaceful, calming & tasteful but so functional for any stay. Fiona was a wonderful & beautiful host. We couldn’t believe our luck when we walked through the door.
